Tivoli Gardens and Castel Gandolfo

9.00am depart your Hotel in Rome, we will drive approximately 45 minutes to the town of Tivoli, The Villa d’Este is a 16th century villa famous for its terraced hillside Italian Renaissance garden and especially for its profusion of fountains.
It is now an Italian state museum, and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. You will have free time to explore these gardens and its fountains on your own, after this visit we will drive 45 minutes to Castel Gandolfo a charming little town where the Summer residence of the Pope is located, built on cliff-side overlooking the Lake of Albano. You will have free time to explore the small village, we will recommend good panoramic restaurant.
After lunch we will return to Rome driving through the Appian Way area, back to the Hotel by 4.30/5.00pm

Please note that: Your driver/guide, even though very knowledgeable and speaking perfect English is not authorized to give tours inside museums, In case you like to include in your visit a guided tour of Villa d’Este, It is recommended to hire a local tour guide, just ask us we will be happy to reserve and block the guide on your behalf, you will personally pay the local guide.
